New Dropship Accounts

Dropshipping is a process in which a product is shipped to the customer (“end user”) directly from a wholesale distributor or supplier rather from a reseller. For more information about dropshipping, click here.

Yes. Albany Distributing requires customers to provide a Federal Tax ID and Sales Tax Exempt Certificate prior to placing orders. Information regarding an EIN can be found online at the IRS website. For information on obtaining Sales Tax Exempt Certificates, please visit your state or city website.

By creating a dropship account with Albany Distributing, you will have access to 40,000 wholesale dropship products from nearly 600 trusted brand name manufacturers, and dropshipping is free no matter how much you buy.
1. You can open an online ecommerce website with minimal expenses.
2. Dropship businesses can be started with little to no risk.
3. You are not required to carry any inventory or pay for the wholesale products upfront. If a product does not sell, you pay nothing.
4. You don’t need buy any shipping supplies.

Dropship Orders

There is not any minimum order requirement to place an order. Order what you need, when you need it.

To place a dropship order you will need to be signed into your Albany Distributing account.  Once you’re signed in, you have several ways of placing order.  

  1. Browse our wholesale catalog and add items to your shopping cart and then checkout when you’re ready.
  2. Use our Quick Order feature to enter the skus and desired quantities to quickly key your order into the system.
  3. If you have multiple orders you need to place at once, you can import your orders directly into our system using flat file import. This option is only available to accounts that place more than 50 orders a day and have an approved credit line or a credit card on file with autopay enabled. 

For credit card customers, your payment will be processed immediately after you place your dropship order. For net term customers with an approved credit line, payment can be submitted via ACH or wire transfer. 

In most cases, after an order has been submitted it cannot usually be changed or modified as most orders are printed to the distribution center immediately.  In some cases, we may be able to stop orders. Contact us immediately after placing an order to see if we can stop it.

When you create an account with Albany Distributing you will be charged an upfront onetime nonrefundable fee of $59. The purpose of this fee is to discourage non-resellers from establishing accounts with Albany Distributing and purchasing wholesale products for their personal use. The Albany Distributing website and online ordering system is a proprietary system intended for legitimate resellers looking to dropship products to their customers.
Yes. During the reseller application, simply enter “NA” in the box that requests your Employer Identification Number (EIN). Our New Accounts Department will follow up with you for a business license.
You may purchase items for your personal use but keep in mind you may owe sales or use tax in the state where you take possession of the item. Refer to your state’s tax authority for guidance. Personal orders should not account for more than 1% of your total order volume. If it does, your account may be restricted pursuant to ordering guidelines found on our Ordering Information page.

List & Sell Dropship Products

If you’re a novice to selling on eBay or Amazon, our data feed makes it easy to import products into your eBay or Amazon account to jumpstart your online dropship business.
After you have signed up, use the members only area which includes a broad list of online marketplace sites that you can use to sell products at.
We impose no restrictions where you sell or promote our products. We encourage, support, and provide the product data feeds you need to market products across a variety of online Marketplace Channels like Amazon, eBay, Price Comparison Shopping Engines, and more.

You do not need to purchase any wholesale products in advance. You will come to our website to place an order after you have received an order from your customer and have been paid.

Billing & Payment

Unfortunately, we do not. All fees you incur outside of Albany Distributing are your responsibilities. However, you can claim eBay fees by reporting them on your taxes.

At this time we are not currently setup to accept PayPal payments, however in the coming months this is expected to change for our customers that wish to pay using PayPal.  Until we integrate PayPal, we currently accept all major credit and debit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. 

Yes, we accept the PayPal Business Debit MasterCard. Coming Summer 2024, we will be integrating PayPal as a new way to pay for your dropship orders.

No. Albany Distributing guarantees the lowest product pricing among similar dropship distributors and therefore does not provide additional discounts on product purchases.

Bulk/Wholesale Discounts

Albany Distributing guarantees the lowest wholesale product pricing among similar dropship distributors and therefore does not provide additional discounts on product purchases.

Since we sell dropship products in various categories – consumer electronics to kitchen & housewares, the discounted amount from the MSRP will vary by product.

Dropship Fulfillment

Nope. All dropship orders are shipped with ONLY a packing list with no mention of Albany Distributing or the wholesale prices you pay.
Yes. After we ship an order, you will receive a shipping confirmation containing the order’s tracking number.
Yes. We can dropship anywhere in the world. Please refer to our Shipping Policies for more information.
Nope. To support our members’ competitiveness and profitability, Albany Distributing does not charge a dropship or handling fee.
Absolutely not. We do not believe in charging you a monthly fee for being an online reseller of our products.
Absolutely. Blind dropshipping is 99% of our business. Your customer will receive a packing list with no mention of Albany Distributing or the wholesale prices you pay.
Orders placed by 3:00pm EST ship the same business day it was received. To ensure your receive your order is shipped the same business day it was received, please make sure the order is placed by our shipping cut off time of 3pm EST.

Dropship Products

After you have signed up, you will have access to our product data feed. The product data feed is a vital tool for monitoring wholesale prices and product availability.
Yes. All the products sold and shipped by Albany Distributing are 100% brand new and factory sealed.
Yes. All the products sold and shipped by Albany Distributing come with the manufacturers’ full U.S. warranty.

Once you have signed up to become a dropship reseller and your account has been approved, you will have access to our product data feed which includes data about our products such as product name, image, description, weight, etc. 

All wholesale products sold and shipped by Albany Distributing are indeed legitimate products from trusted brand name manufacturers. Also, all the products that we dropship to your customers will brand new and factory sealed.

Shipping

Shipping charges are calculated based on the destination the zip code the item is shipping to. 

We ship with UPS, FedEx, and USPS.

We ship same day for orders placed by 4:00 pm ET>

Most dropship orders submitted by 4:00 pm ET will same same day as long as the item is in stock.  Most orders are typically delivered in 3-5 business days.

Data Feeds

Yes, we do offer our a data feed that is available at no charge to our active dropship resellers. To access the data feed, login to your Dropship Account.

Yes. If you are in need of a custom data feed for Amazon or another marketplace website, please contact at 1-800-296-0820.

As an Albany Distributing reseller we do provide a wealth of resources when it comes to listing your products for sale on ebay or amazon. If you need your data feed customized to be able to import our dropship items into your ebay or Amazon account, contact us for assistance at 1-800-296-0820.

Sales Tax

It is best to follow this question up with a tax professional. 

You may use your Albany Distributing dropship account to purchase wholesale products for personal use. If a valid resale certificate is on file at the time of your order, sales tax will not be collected for your purchase, but you may be required to pay a “use tax” directly to the state where you will take possession of the product. For example, if a New York customer buys a product from a California reseller and is not charged sales tax, the New York customer must pay New York State a use tax on the purchased product pursuant to New York Sales and Use Tax laws found here. Many states impose similar use tax laws. We encourage you to consult your state’s tax department for more information.
