Placing Orders
- Enter orders online via AlbanyDistributing.com (login required).
- Upload orders via customer dashboard once logged in to AlbanyDistributing.com. This option is called a Flat File Upload. Orders submitted via Flat File must meet certain requirements prior to uploading. Questions regarding Flat Files should be forwarded to flatfile@albanydistributing.com.
Pricing Policy
Prices are subject to change with or without notice and determined when an order is placed. Prices on backorders cannot be guaranteed and may be adjusted at time of shipment. Customers are encouraged to utilize the inventory data feeds to monitor price changes.
Order Changes and Order Cancellations
All order changes and/or cancellation requests must be emailed to esales@albanydistributing.com. Albany Distributing does not process order changes and/or cancellations by phone. Order changes and/or cancellations cannot be guaranteed. In the event an order has already shipped, please refer to Albany Distributing’s Shipping Policies for alternative options.
Backorders and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)
Products not in stock at time of order will be placed on backorder unless customer notes otherwise in the “Order Notes” section at time of checkout, or notifies esales@albanydistributing.com. Albany Distributing will automatically fill backorders as the product(s) become available. Customer will incur additional shipping charges for backordered product(s). Please note, prices on backorders are subject to change with or without notice. Albany Distributing does not receive Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) dates from manufacturers for backordered products and therefore cannot provide ETAs.
International Customers
Due to additional processing required to fulfill orders from customers with a billing address outside the United States, each order will incur a 1.5% processing fee plus other applicable fees.
Sales Tax
If an order is delivered to an address within the State of New York or California, an 8% sales tax will be collected at time of order unless a valid tax exemption certificate(s) is on file with Albany Distributing.
- For New York State, please download and complete the New York State ST-120 form.
- For California, please download and complete the California BOE-230 form.
Once Albany Distributing has verified the tax exemption certificate(s), the customer’s account will no longer be subject to sales tax for the appropriate state.
Shipping Charges
Albany Distributing provides customers with the most economical shipping methods available using common carriers and assess each order a shipping charge based on the carrier’s published shipping rate. Shipping charges are derived from a combination of factors, including weight, dimension, quantity, destination, and the shipping service level.
Please note, Albany Distributing cannot quote actual shipping charges prior to an order being shipped. However, to estimate the cost of shipping, simply add products to the shopping cart on AlbanyDistributing.com and utilize the “Shipping & Tax Estimator” provided. Please note, shipping charges are non-refundable. Please refer to Albany Distributing’s Shipping Policies for more information.
Orders shipping from multiple Albany Distributing warehouse branches or that exceed the carrier’s dimensional and oversize limits may incur additional shipping charges as well as appropriate fuel surcharges.
Order Acceptance Policy & Suspect Fraudulent Orders
Albany Distributing reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason including but not limited to errors in product pricing, product description, or potential fraud identified by the Albany Distributing Risk Management Department
